The Arlington Fire Department will be conducting annual Fire Hydrant inspections and flushing beginning May 2, 2022 and continuing thru June 17, 2022.
Most hydrants will be flushed between the hours of 9 A.M. and 4 P.M.
Residents may notice a decrease in water pressure while hydrants are flushed.
The water is safe to use during this period, however discoloration in the water may occur. Discoloration can be alleviated by running your cold water for several minutes. We advise you to refrain from washing laundry while discoloration is present.
If you experience a continued reduction in flow from your faucets, we recommend you clean the screen at the tip of your faucet since mineral deposits may have accumulated during the flushing period.
