REF: ROLLING BLACKOUTS
Msg from Jefferson County TN: Due to the high demand for electricity and extremely cold temperatures, TVA is requiring Appalachian Electric to begin rolling blackouts on circuits for Rutledge, Oak Grove, Jefferson City, and Piedmont. Each blackout will be 15 minutes. Rolling blackouts will not affect critical loads, such as the hospital. AEC will continue to do this as long as TVA requests it. Please stay tuned for updated information. Please conserve as much energy as possible.
