Sevier County Emergency Management Agency Your Guide to Fire Safety in Smoky Mountains

As we begin our Independence Day Celebrations we would like to ask everyone to take caution as disasters can occur at anytime.  Local areas have not seen much rain which has led to dry conditions.  Sevier County has been under a Moderate Fire Danger recently.

Please take the necessary precautions as we celebrate our Independence Holiday.

Keep grills at least 3 feet away from structures.

Never leave any fire unattended & make sure that you have a water source to extinguish the fire before leaving.

Make sure to keep pets indoors, and they have collars with contact information if lost.

It is illegal to shoot fireworks within the city limits of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville.

Leave the Fireworks to the professionals and consider attending the City of Gatlinburg Fireworks show in downtown Gatlinburg,  & the Pigeon Forge's Patriot Festival in Patriot Park on July 4th.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July, and ask everyone to be safe during this holiday!!!!
