On Friday, April 4, former Seymour High School standout Derek McCarley’s current college team, the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, won 17-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UNC Greensboro Spartans.

The game took place at Thomas Baseball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Spartans this season.

The Buccaneers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Baseball Stadium against UNC Greensboro Spartans.
