On Friday, March 21, former Gatlinburg Pittman High School standout Maddy Newman’s current collegiate team the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles lost 108-48 against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Colonial Life Arena, this was the first game against the South Carolina Gamecocks during the championship.

Maddy Newman’s hometown is Gatlinburg and game positions are center and forward.
