By request from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Deputies assigned to the Special Operation Response Team (S.O.R.T.) and Firefighters with the Jefferson City Fire Department responded to the Hartford Community in Cocke County to conduct ground search operations for an Gatlinburg woman who is the subject of an active Tennessee Silver Alert. Claudene Whaley’s, vehicle was located near the search area. The Task Force spent the day with other agencies searching, but were unsuccessful.
